Swamp Sanctuary is a community wide “swamp themed” family friendly art show intended to advocate awareness for the continued health and environmental integrity of the Chesapeake bay, great dismal swamp, and the surrounding rivers and streams that flow into them. Though the event itself is over, the items will be displayed through April.

Artists were encouraged to consider using recycled materials, and creative hints included folklore, fauna, and Native American cultural history. A portion of profits from art sales will be donated to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, a non profit working to continue education, raise awareness, restore, and maintain our bays, rivers, and streams.
